And the baby is...

We're seeing BLUE!! That's right it's a boy!

Our Heavenly Father has decided to bless us with a happy and a very very active little boy! Jacob and I knew from day one that it was a boy. We went to the temple the day after I took a pregnancy test and all I could think about were boy's names. I was thrilled and scared all at the same time!

Laying on the table and watching the big screen as the ultrasound tech moved across my belly I knew it was a boy...and she wasn't even to that "part" yet. She started with the head because he was still heads up. Then, moved down across the chest, heart, organs, and everything was there and functioning beautifully. I'm surprised by how well of a job she did of counting and capturing everything because this punk was running in there! He would not sit still!! It was actually pretty funny. Jacob, waiting impatiently, piped up and asked what it was. So she moved around the thing-a-machig and Ta-da! There his little private parts were...all there and intact. "Yup, it's a boy! There's no denying that." "Oh,no" was the first thing I said. It's not because I didn't want a boy. It was just the fact that we had to buy all that baby crap again...and in a different color. Guh. But, we couldn't be more excited! I couldn't stop smiling that whole time looking at his beautiful face. Now all we need to do it think of a name!

    Feeling every blessed!

Ketchup!

  Get it...Ketchup?!

So that's what I'm doing in this post today... Catch up.

The biggest news...WE'RE PREGGERS! We found out in April and my due date is Dec 25 . If the baby comes a week early than he/she will come on my birthday and that will be 3 generations born on Dec 19 (how cool!). But, i guess we'll just have to wait and see. And I think were all excited. Abbey says "baby, baby, baby" and pokes my belly. She loves babies and I hope it stays that way!

Next school ended and I couldn't have been happier! I now get to spend more time with Abbey, crafts, oh, and the hubby...hehe.

Abbey is a growing learning machine! She amazes me every single day with something new. Oh, and she's an attitude machine too. First, her new thing is to strip her diaper off whenever she wants and streaks. The worst time was bedtime. Seconds after I would put her to bed I would check on her and there she is standing there nude. So, thought to myself and figured out a solution. I have cloth diapers I just don't use them to often because I only have 3.But one was enough, so I grab it, snap them on her, and ta-da. Nudist baby problem solved! And she sleeps a lot better now too.
Just two days ago she learned to pop her mouth with her finger. It cracks me up every time cause she gets so happy when it pops. We're working on colors. It's a working progress. She's stuck on yellow. Everything is yellow! "What color is this?" Pointing to a purple balloon..."Yellow". Like I said working on it. :) Next, is her ABC's. I say them and she repeats. It's so stinkin cute! My favorite one to have her say is "W". It's just to cute!

Sick, Sick, Sick, holy cow I thought I was dying. I was 13 weeks pregnant when it hit. I thought it was just morning sickness. Oh, how I was wrong! Throughout this whole pregnancy I've had terrible nausea and vomiting...like 2-3 times a day I was visiting the bathroom. But, when I got sick my appetite dwindled to almost nothing. I was living off of instant breakfast with water, apple sauce, and bananas. Jacob had to force me to eat because I had no desire. I slept most of the days. And just even walking to the bathroom was exhausting. Then, I developed a weird rash and cough. It was terrible. It was so bad it tightened my chest every time I tried to breath. If I could imagine an asthma attack I'd figure that's what it would be like. After 3 weeks I was finally back on my feet. I was still really weak. It wasn't until a full week of eating normally that I was able to go shopping, walk, and even play with Abbey. I'm just glad it's pretty much over! Still have a slight cough.

Ok, last big news! We mooooooooved! No more terrible Lindsey Management Apartments. Our last rent due there was for July. Then, not long after we had revived some great news from our 1st landlady. She was having a tenant move out and she wanted to know if we were interested? Heck Yes! Our last day at the old apartment was July 1! (still really weak so Jake did most of the moving)! It's a great duplex that's stuck in the 70's, complete with wood paneling, mustard colored carpet, and yellow appliances! We did have to buy our own fridge, washer, and dryer. The apartment has great square footage, back yard, washer and dryer hook-ups, private carport, and cheap! The real bonus is our landlady. She is an elderly lady who might chit chat your ear off but she's so kind.

What I've been up to!

Ah, the joys of being at home mommy/ student. School takes one half and being a mommy takes the other! Needless to say I've been kind of busy. But I've always made room for project time...It helps me to not go crazy.... O.o

So here are some pictures! ( i wanted to do tutorials for the heck of it but i didn't...sorry)

DIY: Dry Erase Board for the fridge.

I got tired of all the stupid, ugly, and bulky dry erase boards. Soooo I thought to myself and....presto!
I'm gunna give a shout out to Hancock for the fabric (matches my pillows). The other stuff,Wal-mart.

DIY: Yarn Letters

THANK YOU Hobby Lobby! I love this store and all the things it allows me to do!
$1.99 for each letter...They were also 30% off when i bought them. Yarn: my mommy gave it to me. The yarn ties in all the colors in the living room/kitchen. And tacks...to hang them up

DIY: Pillow Cases

New pillow cases! Fabric at Hancock. I also have black one but didn't take a picture of it because the hubby is

using it as a foot rest. Good thing they are washable and can be taken off!

DIY: Embroidery Hoop Wall Art (Gotta love Pintrest!)

Again Hobby Lobby with the material and hoops. It's our "head board" for now. But i think it's a great simple idea to bring in the color or tie it together! Still want to add some more.

Last one...DIY: Painted Lamp Shade

Cheap-O lamp shade from Target. It was just a plain white....and it was kind of bugging me. So I put the craft paint to use! And I think its spunky! The pattern reminds me of when I was young. My mom had us 6 siblings lay brick for the garden pathways. Yes, lots of work and I got away with not doing a lot of it cause i was like 6 at the time. But i did have to weed the stupid things.

LOVE em', And that's all folks!

2o12... Happy New Year!

We'll better late than never! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have to say it doesn't feel much different than last year. But that will change.
Like every good person does around this time a year is make a list of things we hope to do, to lose, and sometimes gain in this new year. So why should I be any different?

New Year's Resolutions:
*Be more healthy. I really don't need those extra cookies...even if they are saying" eat me, i dare ya." And that includes 3 day's a week of 2o min exercise...minmum.

*Read my scriptures everyday. Even if it just 1 lil verse. They are such a powerful and comforting tool.

*Be more Christlike.

*Don't be so pessimistic...I'm really not that bad. But when I am it's VERY pessimistic!

*Be more patient, better example, more involved, most loving mother and wife i can be. Sometimes this is hard. Everyone knows how hard it can be. Even if your not a mother yourself you have one. Or and aunt or a grandmother, sister, or friend that is a mother and how tiring it can be. Tiring but worth it!

* Except the unexpected...cause we all know life goes according to a strict plan! HA!

*Have at least 1 crafty/arty project due by the end of the month. And update on here. :}

* Sticking to our budget!! And when we do we will have this goal done!!! ( Pay our car off by the end of the year)

I'm sure there was more. But, I think that is a good place to start. Oh and I totally didn't stay up to welcome in the new year. Sleep is to important! :D
